RMR
Roster Change....
Trevor Sanborn into the #44
Trevor Sanborn was behind
the wheel of the #44 at the 150 lapper at Beech Ridge on
September 10th. Travis Khiel has decided to take a break
from auto racing to pursue personal interests. The
parting was amicable on both sides, and Travis may lend
a hand with Ben's tires at some of the races.
Trevor had a great
run in the RMR #41 to a sixth place finish at the Oxford
250 in July. A weekly competitor at Beech Ridge - Trevor
is fourth in points in the Pro Series division - was
looking forward to his first PASS race.
The #44 qualified for the 150 with a fifth place finish
in heat #3. During the race the handling went away, and
Trevor had a spin entering turn one after contact with a
lead car. Three laps down, the #44 posted a 19th place
finish.
“We got a big push," said Sanborn, "and just couldn’t
stay with the leaders. That happens. We came home in
one piece and I’m happy with that. It was pretty fun
today, I know that.”
Trevor will be back in the #44 for the PASS 400 Weekend
at Beech Ridge on
September 23 and 24. Running the Mason Dixon Melton at
South Boston Speedway at Thanksgiving time in the #44 is
also in the works. Plans for other RMR races for Trevor
in 2006 have not been finalized. |
