With leading practice
times and an easy run to the Heat #1 win and the pole,
Ben appeared to be in fine shape for the 150 lap feature
at White Mountain. Ben had posted a second place finish
at the WMMP July 15th event. But when the green flag
fell, Ben was fighting a loose race car that took all of
Ben's skill just to keep it in the lead for 29 laps.
After Dale Shaw got by, Ben began a slide down the
standings - all the way down to 19th at lap 120. Ben
worked his way back into 9th by the end of the 150 laps.
Trevor raced White
Mountain in the silver #44 he ran to forth place in the
Pro Series division at Beech Ridge this season. A 7th in
Heat #2 meant Trevor had to run transfer to the feature
via one of the Consis. And Trevor did that in fine style
winning the second consi. From 20th on the grid, Trevor
fell back to 23rd in the early laps and then moved up to
17th. Tangling and getting turned by a lapping car, put
the #44 back to 19th at the finish. |
