Thursday Practice Cancelled - Enterprise, AL under
Curfew
A line
of strong storms rolled over South Alabama Thursday,
near where this weekend’s Rattler Super Late Model race
is set to take place. Tornados struck a concentrated
area in the town of Enterprise, located about 30 miles
from the track. There were 13 fatalities, including
eight students at an area school.
The town, where many teams are staying for the race, is
under an emergency curfew from dusk to dawn. There are
power outages reported, but at least some hotels do have
power. If you are traveling to the area, it is suggested
that you call ahead. The track has cancelled Thursday’s
practice sessions due to the weather. |
