Ben Rowe won the rain-delayed
PASS South/National Super Late Model race at Southern
National Raceway Park. Rowe pitted late in the race to
swap front and rear tires and then came back through the
pack. Clay Jones finished second. Preston Peltier led
for awhile, but had a flat tire and had to come back
through to pack to finish third. Jay Fogelman, who had
been Rowe's closest rival in the PASS South points
battle, dropped out of the race early with mechanical
problems.
With only the SOBO Mason Dixon Meltdown on Oct. 17th
remaining in the PASS NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP chase, Ben
leads Mark Gibson 659 to 602.
With two races remaining in the PASS South Series, Ben
is ahead of Ryan Blaney 2562 to 2506 with Preston
Peltier almost one hundred behind at
2464. |
