The RMR #4 was done for the
night after a lapped car spun right in front of Ben into
the thrid turn wall. With no time or place to go, Ben
hit the #22 of Harry Olson hard, tearing up the right
front corner. A wrecker brought the #4 back to the
infield.
The RMR crew had been working hard to find a couple of
tenths per lap and Ben had moved from his 13th place
starting spot up into a solid third when disaster struck
on lap 117. The blocked track resulted in a red flag.
When the cars were released, most of the SLM's headed to
the pits for their fuel and two tire stop.
Losing many spots to his nearest points competitors, Ben
dropped to fourth in the PASS North points standings. |
